Manage Your Subscription #
The Billing page is where you manage everything related to your ILYS subscription—view your plan, update payment methods, and access invoices.
Accessing Billing #
- Click your avatar in the top right
- Select Billing from the menu
- Or look for the Billing link in your Profile
Your Current Plan #
At the top of Billing, you’ll see:
- Plan type — Monthly or Annual
- Status — Active, Trial, or Cancelled
- Next billing date — When your next payment is due
- Price — What you pay each cycle
Updating Payment Method #
Need to use a different card?
- Go to Billing
- Find Payment Method
- Click Update
- Enter new card details
- Save
Your next payment will use the new card.
Viewing Invoices #
Access your payment history:
- Go to Billing
- Find Invoice History or Billing History
- Click any invoice to view or download
Invoices show:
- Date
- Amount
- Payment method
- Status (paid, pending, etc.)
Changing Plans #
Upgrading to Annual #
If you’re on monthly and want to switch to annual (and save money):
- Go to Billing
- Find the option to change plans
- Select Annual
- Confirm the change
You’ll be charged the annual rate, prorated for any remaining time on your monthly plan.
Downgrading to Monthly #
If you’re on annual and want to switch to monthly:
- Go to Billing
- Select Monthly
- The change takes effect at your next renewal
Cancelling Your Subscription #
We’d hate to see you go, but here’s how:
- Go to Billing
- Find Cancel Subscription
- Follow the prompts
When you cancel:
- Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period
- You keep access until then
- Your writing remains—you can still read and export
- You can resubscribe anytime
Free Trial #
If you’re on a free trial:
- Full access to all features
- No payment until trial ends
- Cancel anytime before trial ends to avoid charges
- Billing page shows trial end date
Referral Credits #
If you’ve earned free months through the referral program, you’ll see them reflected in your billing:
- Credits are applied automatically
- Your next billing date extends by the credit amount
- Multiple credits stack
