Your Account Profile Lives Here

The Profile page is where you manage your account information and customize how ILYS works for you.

Accessing Profile Settings

#

1. Click your avatar (or initials) in the top right of the Dashboard
2. Select Profile from the menu
3. Or navigate directly to the Profile page

What You Can Update

#

Profile Information

#

• Name — How you’re identified in ILYS
• Email — Your login email and where notifications go
• Profile Photo — Upload an image (optional)

General Settings

#

• Show Tooltips — Toggle helpful hints on and off
• Dark Mode — Switch between light and dark themes
• Theme — Choose from 12 color themes

Password

#

• Update Password — Change your login password
• Enter your current password, then your new password twice

Show Tooltips

#

Tooltips are the little hints that appear when you hover over icons. They’re helpful when you’re learning ILYS, but you might want to turn them off once you know your way around.

• On — Tooltips appear when you hover
• Off — Clean interface, no pop-ups

Export All Stories

#

From the Profile page, you can also export all your writing at once. Click Export All Stories to download everything.

This is a great way to create a complete backup.

Account Actions

#

At the bottom of the Profile page, you’ll find:

• Log Out Other Sessions — Sign out everywhere else
• Delete Account — Permanently remove your account and all data

Tips

#

• Keep your email current — It’s how we reach you and how you log in
• Use a strong password — Especially if your writing is personal
• Review settings periodically — Your preferences might change
• Export before major changes — Always have a backup
