Made some typos during your writing flow? No problem. ILYS includes AI-powered spell check that reviews your text and corrects errors automatically.

This isn’t your browser’s basic spell checker. It understands context and fixes mistakes more intelligently.

How to Use It

#

1. Open your story in the Editor
2. Select the section you want to check
3. Click on the AI Tools icon
4. Click Correct Spelling
5. Watch as AI reviews and corrects your text

The Correction Panel

#

When you run spell check, a split panel opens:

• Left side — Your original text
• Right side — The corrected version

Both sides scroll together so you can compare changes easily.

Accept or Reject

#

After reviewing the corrections:

• Accept — Replace your original text with the corrected version
• Cancel — Keep your original text, discard the suggestions

It’s your choice. The AI suggests; you decide.

What It Fixes

• Typos and misspellings
• Capitalization issues
• Basic punctuation mistakes

It focuses on mechanical errors, not style. Your voice stays authentic and true.

What It Doesn’t Change

#

• Your writing style
• Intentional stylistic choices
• Made-up words or names (though it may flag them)
• Formatting or structure

The AI respects your creative decisions.

Processing Large Texts

#

For longer sections, the AI processes your text in chunks. You’ll see a progress indicator:

“Correcting… 2 of 5”

Each chunk is corrected and added to the result. Wait for “Correction complete” before accepting.

Tips

• Run spell check after finishing a section — Not while writing
• Review before accepting — AI is smart but not perfect
• Use it on final drafts — Catch errors before exporting
• Don’t stress about typos while writing — You have this tool for later
