Cloud Backup Made Easy #
Connect ILYS to your Dropbox account and save exports directly to the cloud. No downloading, no uploading—just one click.
Connecting Dropbox #
- Open the Export modal (click the export icon in the Editor)
- Click Connect to Dropbox
- Sign in to your Dropbox account (if not already)
- Authorize ILYS to save files
You only need to connect once. ILYS remembers your authorization.
Saving to Dropbox #
Once connected:
- Open the Export modal
- Click the Dropbox button
- Your file saves to your Dropbox automatically
A checkmark appears when the save is complete.
Where Files Are Saved #
Exports go to a folder called ILYS in your Dropbox. The folder is created automatically the first time you save.

What You Can Save #
- Single sections

Files are saved as TXT format when using Dropbox export.
Disconnecting Dropbox #
If you want to disconnect:
- Go to your Dropbox account settings (on dropbox.com)
- Find “Connected apps”
- Remove ILYS
You can reconnect anytime by going through the connection process again.
Privacy & Security #
- ILYS can only access the ILYS folder in your Dropbox
- We don’t read other files in your Dropbox
- Your Dropbox credentials are stored by Dropbox, not ILYS
- You can revoke access anytime
