Keep Your Dashboard Tidy #
Finished a story? Taking a break from a project? Move it to the Archives. Your Dashboard stays focused on what you’re actively working on, while archived stories remain safe and accessible.
How to Archive a Story #
- On your Dashboard, find the story you want to archive
- Click the three dots (…) menu
- Select Archive
The story disappears from your main Dashboard and moves to the Archives.
Accessing the Archives #
Click Archives in your Dashboard header to see all archived stories. They’re displayed just like regular stories, with all the same information.
Unarchiving a Story #
Changed your mind? Want to work on an archived story again?
- Go to Archives
- Find the story
- Click the three dots (…) menu
- Select Unarchive
The story returns to your main Dashboard, ready to continue.
What You Can Do in Archives #
Archived stories are frozen. To continue working with the story, first unarchive it, then open it as usual.
Archiving vs. Deleting #
| Action | What happens | Can you undo it? |
|---|---|---|
| Archive | Story moves to Archives | Yes, unarchive anytime |
| Delete | Story is permanently removed | Only via Autosaves (limited time) |
When in doubt, archive. You can always delete later.
Tips #
- Archive completed work — Finished your novel? Archive it and celebrate.
- Archive seasonal projects — Journal from last year? Archive until you want to revisit.
- Don’t hoard — If you’ll never look at it again, consider deleting.
- Review periodically — Once a month, check your Archives for stories to unarchive or delete.
A tidy Dashboard is a happy Dashboard.
