Share the Joy, Get Rewarded #
Love ILYS? Share it with friends. When someone signs up using your referral link and subscribes, you earn free months on your own subscription.
How It Works #
- Get your link — Every ILYS user has a unique referral link
- Share it — Send to friends, post on social media, tell your writing group
- They sign up — Your friend creates an account using your link
- They subscribe — When they become a paying member
- You earn — Free months added to your subscription
Getting Your Referral Link #
- From your Dashboard, click Profile in the header
- Click on Referral Program
- Your unique link is displayed
- Click Copy Link to copy it to your clipboard
The link looks like: https://www.ilys.com/share-ilys/ref_{your-code-here}
Your Referral Stats #
On the Share page, you can see:
| Stat | What it means |
|---|---|
| Total Referrals | People who signed up with your link |
| Subscribed Members | Referrals who became paying members |
| Free Months Earned | Rewards you’ve accumulated |
When You Earn Rewards #
You earn a free month when:
- Someone uses your link to sign up
- AND they subscribe to a paid plan
Free trials don’t count—only actual subscriptions. But when they do subscribe, you’re rewarded.
How Rewards Are Applied #
Free months are automatically added to your subscription. You won’t be charged during free months.
If you’re on an annual plan, free months extend your subscription end date.
Where to Share #
- Friends and family — Direct message or email
- Social media — Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Writing communities — Forums, Discord servers, writing groups
- Your blog or newsletter — If you have an audience
Tips for Sharing #
- Be genuine — Share because you love ILYS, not just for rewards
- Explain what makes ILYS special — Forward-only writing, privacy mode, flow state
- Target writers — Journalers, novelists, morning pages folks
- Use your own experience — “This is how ILYS changed my writing habit”
Good Karma #
Even if your referrals don’t subscribe immediately, you’re introducing people to a tool that could genuinely help them. That’s worth something too.
Share generously. Good things come back.
