See Your Progress
#

The Performance page shows how much you’ve written over the past 30 days. It’s motivating to see your effort visualized—and helpful for building a consistent writing habit.

How to Access Performance
#

  1. From your Dashboard, click Performance in the header
  2. Your chart loads automatically

What You’ll See
#

A bar chart showing your daily word count for the past 30 days:

  • X-axis — Days (most recent on the right)
  • Y-axis — Words written
  • Each bar — One day’s total writing

Hover over any bar to see the exact number.

What Counts as Words
#

Every word you write in a session gets counted, including:

  • Words in completed sessions
  • Words in resumed sessions
  • Words across all stories

Deleted text doesn’t subtract from your count. What matters is what you produced.

Using Performance Data
#

Track Your Habit
#

  • See patterns — Do you write more on weekends?
  • Spot gaps — Notice when you missed days
  • Celebrate streaks — Multiple days in a row feels good

Set Goals
#

  • Daily targets — Aim for a certain bar height each day
  • Weekly totals — Add up a week’s bars to see your output
  • Monthly progress — Watch the chart fill up over time

Stay Motivated
#

  • Visual proof — See that you’re actually writing
  • Progress over perfection — Small bars still count
  • Comeback stories — Notice when you recovered from a slump

Tips
#

  • Check weekly — Don’t obsess daily, but do check in regularly
  • Compare to yourself — Don’t compare to others
  • Quality matters too — Word count isn’t everything
  • Celebrate any progress — Even 50 words is better than zero

Your writing adds up. The chart proves it.
