Your Dashboard

The Creative Launchpad
#

The ILYS Dashboard is your creative command center, where you can manage your Stories, Sections, and flow sessions. With a clean, focused design, it empowers you to track progress, organize your writing, and dive back into your creative flow with ease.

Write Now
#

At the heart of it all is the giant can’t-miss-it-if-you-tried Write Now button. Click it to… ummm… Write Now. Clever, eh?

Write Now

When you click Write Now, you’ll be taken to the session setup screen, where you can:

  • Select an existing Story or create a new one.
  • Start writing without a story, adding the session to Free Floating Sessions.
  • Optionally:
    • Set a title.
    • Choose a goal.
    • Add a focus prompt.

Stories and Free Floating Sessions
#

A writing session can belong to a Story or to Free Floating Sessions. When a writing session belongs to a Story, it’s called a Story Section. Here’s a little diagram to help you understand the relationship between Stories, Sections, and Free Floating Sessions.

Free Floating Sessions
Stories

Quick Actions
#

  • Click a Story name to open it in the Editor.
  • Click the Pencil icon to open the session setup screen for that Story.
  • Click the … icon to access options like:
    • Rename the Story.
    • Change the image.
    • Copy, archive, or delete the Story.
    • Export or view its statistics.

Resume a Session
#

If you leave a writing session without visiting the Editor, a “Resume” button will appear. Click it to pick up where you left off or choose Cancel to discard the session.

Continue Writing
Warning: If you click Cancel, the session will be lost. You can recover it from Autosaves, if it hasn’t been deleted.

Performance
#

Check out your progress with statistics tracking from your past month.

Archives
#

Keep your dashboard tidy by moving Stories you no longer want to work on here. You can unarchive Stories anytime to return them to the Dashboard.

Autosaves
#

Your safety net for disaster recovery. ILYS saves snapshots of your sessions for up to a month, ensuring your work is recoverable and secure.
